  i am on my way to the local bowling alley to bowl some games and the guys want coffee and donuts so its dunkin donuts on central ave to the rescue and lucky me as the place is empty and the selection of donuts is a full blast . good morning sir can i get 2 dozen donuts mixed and two containers of cup of joe to go please .listen folks the  donuts now do not taste like the donuts of the past with the removal of trans fat and other additives but when its free i notice no one really bitching and moaning much .the guy working at this location is cool as he gave me 6 empty cups with no fuss. damn a dozen donuts aint cheap any more as the donuts and coffee cost king ben over 50 bucks . made sure to take a bunch of sugar and requested some milk on the side which hassan filled in a extra large cup (i think his name is hassan ). in and out in less then 5 minutes and on my way to the bowling alley where i will witness grown men getting powdered sugar and jelly all over their shirts and pants .

  Now I wouldn't say I'm a coffee aficionado, but I am a bit picky when it comes to how I like my coffee. I would say I am a bigger fan of Dunkin' than Starbucks when it comes to coffee.
  That being said... what in the world. I've been here a couple of times over the years, even more so now that I've started a new job nearby this location.
  
  I always thought it was just me being picky, but this place makes terrible drinks. The food is standard since it's just reheated frozen items, but the drinks are consistently terrible. I thought it was just being my taste buds were off that day lol but one time my coworkers were making fun of the coffee here and they also said that the drinks here suck!!! The other day I gave them a chance and ordered an iced green tea with lemon and honey and wowww lol how do you Mess that up? The coffee always tastes stale too.
  
  I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt so many times. But time and time again, it's been nasty drinks. The one further down on Tuckahoe Road has better drinks.
  
  And not to sound terribly mean since I do understand customer service and retail isn't the most fun place to work, but the workers here are pretty rude. :(

  ok. so here we go. I'm not usually one to write complains or reviews because I work in retail and I understand that you have to follow certain policies and what not, BUT I had a very bad experience here today. I went in and ordered my usual (medium caramel iced coffee with cream and whipped cream). The cashier responds "next time, no whipped cream". I didn't understand being that I am an adult and I don't feel like I was asking for anything out of the ordinary. I said "excuse me?"She repeats "next time no whipped cream" when I asked her why she responds "iced coffee doesn't come with whipped cream so we'll only do this now, but next time don't order it". I told her that if its that much of an issue, to just charged me for it. Now I am an immense lover of dunkin donuts and have always been. I have been ordering my coffee like this for 3 years straight and sometimes I have even gotten charged 50 cents more. I DONT MIND PAYING A LITTLE MORE. This woman then says "I don't have the function to charge you more".
  
  If I asked for cream cheese in my croissant, would I be told no? This is my preference. This what Im paying for. I should able to have it as I want as long as its reasonable. NO OTHER DUNKIN DONUTS HAS GIVEN ME AN ISSUE.
  
  The reason I give it two stars and not one is because the coffee was actually really good!

  NOT Night-Owl Friendly
  
  The personnel here are finicky and not always straightforward. Don't attempt to do business with them too close to closing time - they'll tell you off even if they see you with a $20 bill. Other experiences outside of this night have been better.
  
  They close the restroom fifteen minutes early and sometimes leave the side door open, allowing derelicts to enter and exit as they please. Kinda like the Burger King in Co-op City.
  
  Nearby Transit, with walking directions (please wait for walk signals or stopped traffic):
  
  The #8. For Tuckahoe and the Metro North Harlem Line, cross the street to the curb directly across the thruway. For Mount St. Vincent, cross the street toward the high school. During school days, many off chart** #8 bus routes cluster at this location. Many are Getty Square or Valentine Lane bound between 2:45 PM & 4:15 PM.
  
  The #20/#21** (**peak hours and directions only).
  
  The curb shared takes you to Bedford Park for the (4) - for White Plains and the Metro North Harlem Line, you need to cross the street twice - first toward the high school, then across the thruway.
  
  The #78 to Getty Square for the BxM3. It starts in front of the high school behind the #8 to Mt. St. Vincent. During school days, many off chart** bus routes cluster at this location. Many are Getty Square or Valentine Lane bound between 2:45 PM & 4:15 PM.
  
  ** - off chart buses are not represented on schedules or transit data feeds. Ask the operator about the final destination before boarding.
